Cross-country skiing centre on the Pitztal Glacier
Cross-country skiing is no longer a trend sport. More and more people are seeking a balance to everyday life on the narrow skis. The start of the season can hardly be anticipated and people are already taking to the cross-country skis. Whether you prefer classic or skating is up to you. Both disciplines boost endurance and stamina. The Pitztal Glacier boasts a total of 6 kilometres of cross-country ski trails: 3km classic and 3 km skating. The Gletscherexpress and the Gletscherseebahn take you directly to the trail. There is a special container where you can change clothes.

- The start of cross-country skiing on the Pitztal Glacier is dependent on snow and weather conditions.
- A special cross-country ski pass grants you access to the Gletscherexpress as well as the Gletscherseebahn mountain railways up and down the mountain.
- Cross-country trail length: Between 3 and 7 kilometres, depending on the snow conditions at the time
- Altitude training: you will cover distances of between 2,690 m and 2,740 m during cross-country skiing. The altitude difference of 50 metres means that you can improve your endurance and technique.
